Sarah & James
The Lansdowne Club in Mayfair would be forgiven for thinking I was in residence in February as this was my second wedding there in as many weeks. Both completely different, but equally as stylish I started my coverage of Sarah & James’s day over in my old stomping ground of South Kensington with the fabulous St Augustine’s Queens Gate as the backdrop. There is always something extra special when your bride and groom worship and support the church in which they wed , and this was certainly in evidence for Sarah & James.
Luckily for us, the timings of the day had been arranged such that the hail storm and rain made an appearance during the service before paving the way for a little sun (remember that) before heading back East in to town where The Lansdowne Club was waiting with its usual warm welcome and hospitality. Drinks in the Crush Hall prior to dinner and party in that beautiful ballroom.
In my short(ish) time spent with Sarah & James, it was easy to see how these two click. No real fuss or noise required, but happy rubbing alongside each other with the odd glance, wink or smile being exchanged at regular intervals displaying a wonderful contentment and happiness that is theirs and theirs alone.
I had spoken with Sarah at length initially when she booked so I had a fair idea of how her and James not only felt about each other but also how they wished their day to play as it were.
As well as being sage with their choice of partners for life, they did a mighty fine job of choosing the perfect backdrop to host their big day, and the more I shoot at The Lansdowne, the more I see why so many choose it for their wedding day.
