Soho Wedding – Jack & Leo
With any Soho wedding there is a fair chance that your bride and groom may well be either residents of one of my favourite London districts or at least earn their coin there. Both these guys work in the film industry so they fall into the latter category, but equally both were at home in the rain on the streets whilst grabbing some couple shots, jumping in and out of doorways and engaging with the locals. More importantly though, these two are at home with each other, whatever the weather and wherever the locale. As it turned out their chosen choice of post ceremony feast was at the rather fab Bocca Di Luppo in Archer St. Purely on their hearty welcome and huge genuine smile on arrival, I will make sure I go back here to check out their food. Makes such a difference when you first walk into a place when they actually look like they want you to be there. And its not because there were empty either. The place was jumping!
I was only with Jack & Leo for some 90 minutes but what a pleasure it was. Starting off at Asia House just North of Oxford Circus for their ceremony we had time to grab some family formals post formalities and pre rainfall before heading to Soho for supper time. So for those folk that are looking for inspiration that a small, intimate wedding can be done with a touch of class and style, take a leaf out of Jack & Leo’s book. Get married near your workplace, hope for some rainfall, and leave the meringue white dress at home! Couple that with fine wine, fresh Italian fayre and a cosy private dining room and you are good to go. Add in a sprinkle of your nearest and dearest and you have have the recipe for the way to do a small, stylish and sassy wedding right there.
