SECOND CORINTHIA WEDDING – JODIE & ALFIE
A second Corinthia Wedding for Jodie & Alfie. Not many folk can claim to having got married at the same place to the same person twice but Jodie & Alfie have quite valid reasons for such claims. Last July wedding number one which can be read about here came to an abrupt conclusion so there is perfect merit in requiring a second Corinthia wedding (technically, first time around we never made it to the exchange of nuptials) . When Jodie walzted down the aisle with her Father we had an impromptu round of applause break out to welcome the fact that after a few hiccups and a little too much heartache the team was back in town! And this time they meant business. Alfie went early on the “I do’s” and Jodie went early on the ‘I wills”. These guys were getting wed and the quicker they could the better it would be for all. The sense of relief when James the registrar announced Jodie & Alfie were husband and wife was palpable and quite understandable given the roller coaster ride the whole family had been on the previous 8 months.
Thankfully the day went off without a hitch. We had cameo acting roles from Jodie’s parents to welcome the happy couple to the wedding breakfast followed by acrobats on silks and the wonderful Sensation band to ensure the party is probably still going on as we speak. Favours took the form of a rather smart idea that offered all the guests the chance to take part in some CPR training courtesy of Jodie and Alfie and the Carly Heart Trust charity (all donations welcome, thank you) thus ensuring that hopefully in years to come other couples will not require two weddings to get things over the line as it were.
After getting to know the family reasonably well over the last year it was a great privilege to be able to finish the story started last July and mighty fine way to start off another busy wedding season. Thanks as always go to The Corinthia, and especially Soraya and her teamies.
