GROVE HOTEL WEDDING – APARNA & ADRIAN
Ok, it says Grove Hotel Wedding in the heading, but that is only referring to 30% of the wedding celebrations undertaken by Aparna & Adrian throughout the week. First on the list of wedding ‘to do’ list was actually getting married so we tootled off to Camden Town Hall and ensured all was in order and ready to roll for the rest of the festivities which first took in The Grove and then The Grand Imperial in Victoria the following day for those that had recovered from the Lion dancing.
Sticking to her guns and presumably having everything crossed, Aparna took the call to press ahead and have the ceremony outside (it had been raining jolly heavily) and her bravery was rewarded with a perfectly dry setting. After that it matters not weather-wise, unless you are having fireworks or something. Oh, hold on a minute, yes fireworks in the rain. Well they work that’s for sure, no worries there, and so do modern day cameras luckily.
Adrian treated us to some tinkling of the ivories whilst the rest of the Grand Imperial Set serenaded a rather shocked looking Aparna with a virtuoso performance of ‘Your Song’. Now you may not imagine that 180 people singing a song they don’t know so well, with little preparation would sound that good, however credit where its due, it sounded pretty good and they left the crowd wanting more! Either way, its very difficult to sum up three days of celebrations in three short paragraphs, especially if you are not a great wordsmith like yours truly, therefore and as any photographer should, I will let the pictures tell the stories.
