Destination Wedding – Chloe & Johnathan
And not just any destination wedding either. The rather lovely Chloe & Johnathan celebrated their nuptials at the wonderful El Molino Del Duque, after exchanging vows 30 minutes south-east in Marbella old town. It is quite unique for a destination wedding to involve a local church in all honesty as most that I have photographed tended to focus on the reception venues alone, so it was a delight to be able to go local and authentic for the formal part of the day.
Once back at El Molino De Duque we were treated to a sumptuos al fresco wedding breakfast in the gardens of the finca, and just to illustrate how well this had been planned, outdoor chandeliers were on hand to throw some light on proceedings once the Marbella sun had decided to turn in for the night. The idea of turning in for the night however wasn’t particularly high on the agenda for Chloe & Johnathan as they were scheduled to be in party mode until around 5:00am the following morning. And this was all to be topped off with a beach party later that evening! Two parties in one day! Prior to all this partying though, food and wine must be taken and entertainment provided in the form of speeches throughout the wedding breakfast. It hadn’t happened by the time I took my leave in the small hours but I suspect the swimming pool laden with huge disco balls may well have been called into action as a cooling method for those hitting the heat of the dance floor. And why wouldn’t you? Mighty fine fun indeed.
Huge thanks go to planner Tara from Fiestasol for keeping us fed and watered and up to speed with proceedings and a heads up to film-maker Michael from Story of Eve for being a delight to shoot alongside.
“Thank you for capturing our day so well, we LOVE the images”
