Last week I was lucky enough to be flown out to Barcelona to shoot the civil partnership cermony of Ben and Emilio. Spanish law dictates that every wedding must be registered at the Ministry of Justice on the morning of the wedding itself so that is where we started with a short ceremony before heading back to the Soho Hotel  for preparations.

Once everyone was in their finery we drove 40 minutes outside of Barcelona to the beautiful Mas de Sant Llei  in the mountains for a ceremony on the terrace. Apart from the registrar muddling up their names a couple of times ( I think…… It was in Spanish!) everything was tickety boo.

The venue laid on a suprise caberet style act to accompany the cake cutting and as well as looking like they thoroughly enjoyed having us all their as guests for the day. Just like the UK venues!

Fantastic day with a great couple surrounded by family, friends and bundles of goodwill. Just as it should be.
