CORINTHIA LONDON WEDDING – DONNA & CHARLIE
“When a South East girl meets a South West boy” is a line out of the song Donna had written for Charlie to mark their wedding day. First time I have come across that, a song specially written for a wedding, and to be honest its one of the most touching things I have seen/heard. Being from a theatrical background, it should be no surprise that Donna wished to mark their day as such, but it was a mighty fine touch nonetheless. If I can get a copy of the song, I will put together a slideshow so you can all enjoy it.
Both being from London town, one East and one West it made sense to meet in the middle, so the rather splendid Corinthia London, slap bang in the middle of Whitehall was the perfect spot to celebrate, and after the nuptials were taken in Knigtsbridge we headed back to centre ground for the reception. As always with a Corinthia London Wedding, you get treated as Kings (and Queens) and Claire ensured Donna & Charlie were no different, affording them a grand tour during piccie time as well as acting as traffic marshall to ensure we could get some formal shots done outside during the break from the downpour. Makes a huge difference to your wedding day, being treated well and welcomed with open arms, they really do act as standard bearers for this down Whitehall way.
Party time was in full swing by the time I took my leave and judging by the ‘toons’ that were playing there was not going to be much resting going on. Good old fashioned crowd pleasers were being belted out by Mr DJ making sure that by the time Donna & Charlie boarded their flight the next day for their 11 hour jaunt to Mauritius a little sleep may have been on the menu. Jolly fine day spent with a jolly fine couple and supported wholeheartedly from my end by the super talented Julie Kim who shot Charlies’ ushers lunch for me as well as providing ‘aerial’ coverage of the ceremony.
