Chelsea Town Hall

Jinyi & Qianfan
Chelsea Town Hall
Chelsea town hall was out eventual destination but first we hit Kensington and Chelsea borough as it offers a fabulous variety of spots to shoot so and Jinyi & Qianfan had requested that we do an extended photo session prior to their ceremony in a neighbourhood that means so much to them. Its a good way of doing things as you maximise your photographers value and ensure that you allow sufficient time to capture a wide variety of portraits. I see this happening quite often now and as along as you don’t mind seeing each other before your nuptials are taken then it certainly holds merit as an alternative approach. It is almost the definition of a pre wedding session. It also gives you a last minute check on whether you wish to proceed LOL
As Jinyi and Qianfan met at Imperial College and live and work near the Chelsea Town Hall area it stood to reason they would want me to concentrate on this locale to shoot. Luckily, we managed to dodge the raindrops and the odd taxi as we took in some hidden secrets and some not so hidden ones also. En route to Chelsea town hall we picked up Jinyi’s parents and tootled off to the Kings Road to meet a few friends before the more serious part of the day could take place. I say this in jest really because they are never serious at Chelsea Registry Office. I think it’s their highly regarded mantra to make it one of the friendliest places to get married in London. Always welcoming and forever smiling they really do set a mighty fine example and amen to that.
As for our love struck superstars for the day, well they were a delight. I think at one stage Qianfan may have questioned the notion of spending 90 minutes having his photos taken on the streets of Chelsea but as I have said before and will continue to until I am pushing up daisies, a happy wife is a happy life.
For those of you getting married at Chelsea, Jingji & Qianfan got wed in The Rossetti room rather than the larger Brydon room which is where I usually find myself.
A lovely afternoon spent in the company of a lovely couple starting off with am amble around Kensington and ended with a fabulous Chelsea town hall wedding.
