Botleys Mansion Weddings – Victoria & Nick
Botleys Mansion Weddings always promise to be a highlight in your calendar and I’ve been lucky enough to shoot there twice in as many months. Yet again the sun was as bright as a button and quite relentless in its quest to give all early summer brides reward for their bravery with planning weddings during a world cup! Victoria & Nick shone pretty brightly themselves to be fair but ensured there was funky little love umbrellas were on hand for those that needed any protection or privacy.
Very simple and quite delightful bridal prep was the starting point for yours truly. Turn up, capture the last few minutes of Victoria getting ready to the accompanying ‘Going to the chapel’ tunes and then head downstairs for the ceremony. I think at one stage Nick thought Victoria wasn’t coming and our friendly registrar was going to be his new muse but thankfully he was rescued from such a fate as Victoria sashayed down the aisle personifying style itself and took her rightful place alongside her man.
Post dinner we were treated to some fine speeches with the best men opting for naughty over nice when it came to choosing which evidence they wished to present to the world about their buddy Nick. They even treated him to a rather natty little hair piece which had the feel of Elvis meets a playmobil character if that can be such a thing. Victoria led the dancing and led with aplomb as the heat of the day eventually started to be replaced by the heat on the dance floor. We had contributions from all ages and continents with Victoria’s Austrian representation showing well in the early stages before the floor fillers boomed and those that weren’t dancing were hitting the photo booth and vice versa. All in all a mighty fine day all round.
“Fantastic Jez, Love looking through them, so many great shots”
