Windsor Wedding – Jay & Sid
I suspect I may not be the only one to write the words Windsor wedding online this month with Harry & Meghan doing the do in a few weeks time, however Jay and Sid are clever, they avoided the crowds of well wishers and flag wavers and got in early. By the time that particular circus hits town these guys will be on a beach in Mexico toasting from afar. We did have some royalty of our own in attendance though in the form of the Queens’ chandeliers on loan to the Guildhall. Really nice venue this, Windsor Guildhall, situated right next to the castle and in the heart of town it certainly worth checking out should you be in the market for a smart and swish registry office.
Originally Jay & Sid had planned a ‘first look’ photoshoot on the morning of the wedding but with the sophistication of weather apps at hand Jay decided to juggle timings around a tad due to the forecast of rain, rain and cloud with the occasional break for rain. As things panned out we didn’t get any of the predicted water drops anyway so we were still able to hit the streets for some al fresco shooting before dropping in on the Long Walk in the park. A place Sid knows well from his military days when the long walk was actually a long run and formed part of his training. Not sure the post training run pint in the pub next door was compulsory or not but I would imagine you feel like you’ve earned it after clocking up five miles in your kicks.
Post photos we headed back for lunch in town and as I left the second of the corks was being popped signalling for what I imagine was a mighty fine way to spend a Friday afternoon. Surrounded by just seven of your nearest and dearest to celebrate your very own Windsor wedding.
