Savoy Wedding Dinner – Sydney & Alastair
After getting married at one icon in Chelsea Town Hall, Sydney & Alastair headed to another in the form of their Savoy Wedding dinner. Perfectly positioned overlooking the famous Savoy entrance you can see out but folk cannot see in so you really do feel like you have a privileged view whilst you enjoy some of Mr Ramseys finest cuisine.
One thing that always strikes me about brides who are young Mums is how nothing fazes them about weddings. Sydney was a perfect case in point as whilst she quietly went through her bridal prep, son Albert was taking a snooze upstairs. As all young parents know, if your little one has had enough sleep you are in for a bonzer day! So off to Chelsea we all headed from South to rubber stamp proceedings at the wonderful Old Town Hall on the King’s Road. A brief hiatus for a nappy change (Albert, not Alastair) and we were set to go. Once we got past Alastair saying thank you for everything during the ceremony, confetti cascaded on the famous steps and we all hopped on the bus and headed to The Savoy.
Speeches were taken post canapes and champers but before the wedding feast so all could enjoy dinner whist digesting on some wonderful anecdotes and stories from respective childhoods courtesy of Sydneys Father Dean and Alastair’s brother Captain David. As for Alastair’s speech, well whilst he did return to the Thank you’s obviously, they were mostly reserved for his new wife and most accomplished they were too. They make a smart, sassy couple these guys, and with the bonny Albert on the team as well I think they are in for great things. They can laugh at each other, but with each other also, and they love being a three . As long as Alastair lets Sydney do the driving all is looking peachy and amen to that.
