Gemma & Ross – Santorini Wedding Photography

Following on from the stills of Gemma & Ross from a couple of weeks back, below is a short slideshow of their day. Huge soul fans the whole family, so it was a reasonably easy choice to pick the late & great Marvin Gaye to accompany their images. For one short moment, I thought I was going to have to search for Santorinis greatest pop star! Answers on a postcard please!

Lorna & Steve – Sorrento Wedding Photography

Lovely place Sorrento, if you ever get the chance to visit, stylish and chilled. Once you get past the clifftop journey from Naples airport, that is. Once there though, it is easy to see why Lorna & Steve chose here to get married. Starting at the beautiful spot that is The Chiostro di San Francesco, they took their marriage vows outside under the bougainvillea which decorated the cloisters.

A quick stroll through Sorrento town centre whilst being clapped and cheered by the locals and then it was off up the hill to Relais Blu for the festivities. Overlooking the Island of Capri and Ischia, the view couldn’t have provided a better backdrop for Lorna & Steve to chill with friends and family.

Huge thanks to all who allowed me into their world for 72 hours. Twas a delight!

Davina & Guy -French Wedding Images – Chateau de Fayolle

After officially getting married at Chelsea Registry Office on Thursday, Davin and Guy flew over to the rather chilled hamlet of Saussignac for their French wedding at the splendid Chateau de Fayolle. Celebrations started in earnest in the village restaurant on Friday night and carried on right through till Sunday.

Destination weddings always offer a fresh perspective and a chance to meet all and sundry in any situation. Whilst trekking up the hill from my Bed & Breakfast on Saturday morning, I was greeted by a toot-toot and an offer of a lift by the restaurant owner from the night before. Not sure you would get that in Blightly!  Anyway 27 degrees and a stunning venue. What more could you ask for? Friends and family had flown in from all over to see the ceremony take place in the ‘on site’ Chapel. This place has been here since 1450 and that  is where the locals used to worship.

Apart from a couple of  faintees’ during the ceremony everything was in order before some rather suspect dancing took place to the tunes of  George Smith and his band. If you are ever thinking about getting married in France then I can fully recommend this band of cheerful chaps to provide your entertainment for you.

In fact should you wish to book a wonderful venue for them to play in then speak to Susie or Laura from Chateau de Fayolle who ensured that all was as it should be for not only Davina & Guy but guests and supliers as well.

Ben & Emilio – Spanish Wedding Images – Mas De San LLei

Last week I was lucky enough to be flown out to Barcelona to shoot the civil partnership cermony of Ben and Emilio. Spanish law dictates that every wedding must be registered at the Ministry of Justice on the morning of the wedding itself so that is where we started with a short ceremony before heading back to the Soho Hotel  for preparations.

Once everyone was in their finery we drove 40 minutes outside of Barcelona to the beautiful Mas de Sant Llei  in the mountains for a ceremony on the terrace. Apart from the registrar muddling up their names a couple of times ( I think…… It was in Spanish!) everything was tickety boo.

The venue laid on a suprise caberet style act to accompany the cake cutting and as well as looking like they thoroughly enjoyed having us all their as guests for the day. Just like the UK venues!

Fantastic day with a great couple surrounded by family, friends and bundles of goodwill. Just as it should be.
